Nothing special

So as you guessed from the title of this post, this isn't anything to exciting and too be honest I only really wanted to blog about the top.

I was actually going to send the top back when I first took it out of its packaging however, I completely forgot and by then it was too late. But, now I guess you could say it is fate because I am in love with it. It is so smooth and literally fits like a glove, although I am still unsure whether it is too tight on me I really don't care.

I have been loving plain colours recently, which isn't making my wardrobe look too exciting however maybe because of the cold dark nights that are fast approaching it has somehow triggered me to but such plain colours.

I then paired the top with my favourite treggings and chelsea boots.

Sorry for the short, not so detailed post. I am still tying to get my blog fully up and running again so please bare with me.

What is your favourite colour to have in your warlord at the moment?

WHAT IM WEARING:
Top - Bershka (in green link) with 30% off!!
Treggings - Miss Selfridges (old but gold)
Boots - Topshop (alt & cheaper)

Beauty hacks #2

So I have previously done a beauty hacks blog post, however I thought it was about time I finally completed part 2. Although I haven't tried all of these ones I will definitely try to and give you all an update so here goes...

1. APPLY FOUNDATION ON THE CENTRE OF YOUR NOSE AND BLEND OUT
Now I am no makeup guru but recently I have sort of been trying to teach myself more than just the basics. I was quite shocked to read that in order to get a more natural look you should start from the centre and blend outwards as the product will fade out meaning that your foundation won't look as heavily applied as it could. Although I haven't tried this yet as its a fairly new trick for me I thought I would include it so that I remember to try out this technique myself.

2. MAKE YOUR PERFUME LAST LONGER WITH THESE EASY TRICKS/TIPS
Now although we all have a habit of automatically doing this, we shouldn't actually rub our wrists together because it actually does the complete opposite. In actual fact it breaks up the perfumes scents causing it to fade away quicker. I know I am guilty of doing this myself but maybe in the future I will give this technique a go. Another useful trick for making your perfume last longer is by applying it straight after you've come out of the shower, this is because when you're in the shower your pores open up meaning they will soak up the scent and again last longer.

3. FILL YOUR EYEBROWS IN THE NTURAL WAY
In this day and age eyebrows have become a bit of a thing, and sadly for me mine are just a disaster as a result of years of over plucking they are now ridiculously sparse. However, if you're wanting to make your eyebrows appear fuller without them actually looking overly drawn on a simple trick is to avoid colouring them in, which yes I am also guilty of doing this in the past. You should use tiny hair-like strokes and always follow your brow line. This method can be used with either using a pencil or gel.

4. TEST FOUNDATION ON YOUR NECK AND NOT YOUR FACE
When I read this one I was like what?! I mean I have actually never really bothered to spend hours trying to find my a foundation that is an exact match. Although,  a couple of years ago I was snooping around the Clinique counter in Boots and the lady asked me whether I wanted to see which foundation would match my skin the best and I have used it ever since. Anyway,  the point I am actually trying to make s that we all know that the go to for testing out which shade of foundation you should go for you normally always tend to sample your face as obviously thats where the product is going however, the skin on your face is a different colour to the rest of your body. Instead you should get a few shades of foundation and test them out on your neck that way you won't be having a different skin tone on your face to the rest of your body.

Not ready for winter just yet

So for todays outfit I have decided to keep it casual in a pair of my favourite jeans from Miss Selfridges, although they are sadly getting a bit small now, believe it or not I intend to continue to wear them until I can no more.  I also pulled out the 'winter boots' as I call them which are surpassingly comfy and also give me a little bit of height.

However, the main focus for todays post is the top!! Just look at it, I mean its sad that I didn't buy it in time for the summer and although it will be getting colder and wetter and having my shoulders out isn't the most ideal thing I really don't care. I love the colours, the ruffles and off course the sleeves!! I think it would have been better to buy it a size smaller however it still fits me quite well.

WHAT I'M WEARING:
Top - Berhska (link)
Jeans - Miss Selfridges (link)
Boots - Topshop (alt)

Whats your go to clothing item this winter?
