Beauty hacks #2
So I have previously done a beauty hacks blog post, however I thought it was about time I finally completed part 2. Although I haven't tried all of these ones I will definitely try to and give you all an update so here goes...
1. APPLY FOUNDATION ON THE CENTRE OF YOUR NOSE AND BLEND OUT
Now I am no makeup guru but recently I have sort of been trying to teach myself more than just the basics. I was quite shocked to read that in order to get a more natural look you should start from the centre and blend outwards as the product will fade out meaning that your foundation won't look as heavily applied as it could. Although I haven't tried this yet as its a fairly new trick for me I thought I would include it so that I remember to try out this technique myself.
2. MAKE YOUR PERFUME LAST LONGER WITH THESE EASY TRICKS/TIPS
Now although we all have a habit of automatically doing this, we shouldn't actually rub our wrists together because it actually does the complete opposite. In actual fact it breaks up the perfumes scents causing it to fade away quicker. I know I am guilty of doing this myself but maybe in the future I will give this technique a go. Another useful trick for making your perfume last longer is by applying it straight after you've come out of the shower, this is because when you're in the shower your pores open up meaning they will soak up the scent and again last longer.
3. FILL YOUR EYEBROWS IN THE NTURAL WAY
In this day and age eyebrows have become a bit of a thing, and sadly for me mine are just a disaster as a result of years of over plucking they are now ridiculously sparse. However, if you're wanting to make your eyebrows appear fuller without them actually looking overly drawn on a simple trick is to avoid colouring them in, which yes I am also guilty of doing this in the past. You should use tiny hair-like strokes and always follow your brow line. This method can be used with either using a pencil or gel.
4. TEST FOUNDATION ON YOUR NECK AND NOT YOUR FACE
When I read this one I was like what?! I mean I have actually never really bothered to spend hours trying to find my a foundation that is an exact match. Although, a couple of years ago I was snooping around the Clinique counter in Boots and the lady asked me whether I wanted to see which foundation would match my skin the best and I have used it ever since. Anyway, the point I am actually trying to make s that we all know that the go to for testing out which shade of foundation you should go for you normally always tend to sample your face as obviously thats where the product is going however, the skin on your face is a different colour to the rest of your body. Instead you should get a few shades of foundation and test them out on your neck that way you won't be having a different skin tone on your face to the rest of your body.
